Production Services During the production process your creation will come to fruition. This is the point at which an idea becomes reality. Here at Penguin r/c Design we specialize in the production of Graphite and Fiberglass Plate with capabilities in plastics, thin aluminum, and other materials. We can do prototypes to full production runs with rapid turnaround and a high degree of confidence that the job will be done right. We have special methods of machining that allow us to offer better pricing by maximizing the machine time used and minimizing additional hand labor. We can provide material for your job or use supplied material. (supplied material carries with it some limitations) Some of the special processes that we offer include: Dual Pass Machine Cutting / Clean-up On Machine Countersinking Countersink Slotting Beveled Edging Counterboring Dual Sided Machining Multi-Thickness or Multi-Material Processing Counterbore Engraving Techincal Details: Capable Machining Area - 48x48" Minimum Standard Internal Radii - M0.8 (MAX thickness M4.0 cutting), M1.25, or M1.75 (others availible) Optimal Single Pass Cutting Thickness - M6.0 Turnaround 2-4 weeks (w/material available) Stocked Graphite Plate Available: QuasiGrade 3K Plain Weave in M1.0, M1.5, M2.0, M2.5, M3.0, and M4.0 thicknesses Stocked Fiberglass Plate Available: G10 (Black Face where available) in (approx.) M0.5, M1.0, M1.5, M2.0, M2.5, M3.0, and M5.0 thicknesses Pricing Information: The pricing for CNC production or prototyping is entirely dependent upon the design, material, and the cutting that goes into the part to be cut. For this reason it is extremely difficult for us to give an acurate quote on a part that is not provided to us in a computer file format (DXF, DWG, VC6, ect...), though we can give very loose estimates based on similar past production. Pricing is calculated using an inhouse formula that prices parts based on linear millimeter cut + special process surcharges along with any production optomizing processes that we can apply to bring the pricing down. Discounts are availible for larger production and are based on the total cutting calculated by the formula. Discounts are applied per invoice and cannot be spread across multiple bills. |
